I am an author and a philosopher of mind and psychiatry teaching at Deree – The American College of Greece. Previously, I was a lecturer at the City College of New York and the Hellenic Naval Staff and Command College. I am associate editor of Philosophical Psychology and co-director of the Demographics in Philosophy Project, which aims to address the underrepresentation of women in philosophy and to increase diversity in philosophy departments. I am also part of the organizing team of the Mind‑at‑Large Project, a three-year conference series investigating consciousness and its role in reality.
In my research I explore a number of philosophical topics, ranging across the metaphysics of mind, the philosophy of psychiatry, epistemology, metaphilosophy, political philosophy, animal ethics, and bioethics. I also try to write for a wider audience whenever I can – both because I enjoy it and because I believe it is important to bring philosophical ideas and philosophical thinking to the public.
Music and chocolate are very important to me. I have a passion for Mongolian history and I used to be in search of the perfect burger, but all that is a different story.
You can find copies of my work on academia.edu or ResearchGate and also follow me on Bluesky or Twitter for thoughts on this and that.
